You Are Superman

"Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
And pretty cute too. No wonder you're the most popular superhero ever!"

Now that spring has come and summer approaching, there are some TV shows that either have already started or are starting soon with new seasons. These are the months I long for. To just sit back and relax and watch the dramas unfold. Blogger has blogs of note, and I have Shows-of-note. These are some of them:

The Office(forgot to add this one earlier. LOVE this show)

The Apprentice: This one was over last night with Stefani being hired as the Apprentice. I couldn't agree more.

The Sopranos: The final few episodes are going on right now and then this show is over...for good. It's not as intense as I'd like it to be, although I think it's getting there.

The Amazing Race 11: All I have to say about this show is that you watch it. Its the final four teams and I am rooting for the Beauty Queens (Dustin & Kandice) to win. They work well together and they always put the race before them when they have to make any decisions. Even if that means to yield Eric & Danielle while they were already lagging behind. Its unfortunate that Danny & Oswald were to blame for that when really it was Dustin & Kandice's call to yield them. But the weasels that they are, they slipped out of that one too. They are a good team together.

Planet Earth: The Discovery Channel hasn't put on a show like this for a long time. 5 years in the making and in different segments; They show you all aspects of the planet that we live in with such beautiful and rich videography, its unbelievable. You wouldn't know what makes LIFE happen and keeping it going on the earth until you watch this show. Caves, Marine Life, Seas, Skies, Mountains, Volcanoes, Forests, Jungles, Tropical Islands, Rivers, etc. This show is an eye-opener to things we are so oblivious to. It makes you understand the different habitats that co-exist together and sometimes not. Basically, it makes your "Intro to General Science" class look like a gimmick. You can view some of their excellent videography here.

Heroes: This show is one hell of a good show. The new season premieres tonight. I will be glued to the idiot-box for this one. It will be interesting to see what Sylar does next, and how he can be stopped.

Rescue Me: If you haven't watched Dennis Leary and his firemen cohorts come together to put on such an edgy show, then you ain't seen the best of him yet. I think the script is brilliant. I think the performances are fantastic. This is probably one of the best shows FX network has on its lineup. Premieres June 12th. Watch it. And if you can, then get the previous seasons' DVDs on blockbuster or Netflix and catch up. You wouldn't want to miss it.

The Shield: Now, if you haven't already watched any episodes or previous seasons' of this show, then I can tell you right now that you won't understand it, and probably won't like it. However, I have, and its one heck of a show.

The Real Wedding Crashers: A little bit of comedy courtesy NBC. I am waiting to see how a bride and a groom prank an entire room or banquet hall packed with their family members by having other people or animals(?) crash their wedding. This will sorta be like your Punk'd show..wait...they created it. So it might be good at first, but will get boring after a while. Will watch it for a few laughs. Watch tonight after Heroes.

I don't know if I am missing anything. I could be. May have to re-edit this post as more shows pop into my head. All I have to say though is with so many good shows...thank God for DVR!

So? How does it look? How do I look? It takes a lot of heavy interviews and mingling with the right people to get on the cover of a reputable magazine. Don't worry. I cut a deal with Wired..just for my readers. You can do the same here and then put it up on your office cubicle to flaunt to other geekspeak co-workers that you're the shit they shouldn't mess with!

Have fun with it. Feel free to do anything with it. It is a tool built by Wired itself, so anything goes. I think its a good way of promoting the magazine. Good stuff.

Karan Johar goes Google with promoting his show on Google Adwords. I looked at my blog while finding a link, and saw this ad (you'll probably see it again now since I am writing about it). I didn't know you could download Karan Johar's show 'Koffee with Karan' for just 1.99.

I haven't really watched any of his shows in full. I had once watched Aby Sr and Aby Jr on the show once while flipping through channels. I have to say: Karan Johar annoys the crap out of me at times. He makes good movies, yeah, but personality-wise I think he can be a little more than over-confident at times. I wonder where he gets that from? SRK is after-all a good friend.

I wouldn't mind watching the movies though. Great director and good story-teller.

The wacky online apparel store, Desi Flow, adds new items to its stock. Its latest additions are "Poo Bani Parvati" junior jersey tee, "Khamosh!" ringer tee, "G.U.J.J.U." baseball tee, "Yeh Haath Muscle" tee, which is an intellegently designed sleevless tee that mimics the famous Sholay dialogue, and then my favorite latest one "Doon Kya? Kharcha Paani" retro olive tee.

Visit the store here: www.desiflow.com, or just type "Desi Flow" in Google Search and click on "I'm Feeling Lucky"

Google can be really sarcastic sometimes, can't it? No? Well, let me tell you then. Just for kicks, I did a 'directions' query on Google Maps from New York, NY to Paris, France, and this is what I got. Now read line # 23.

Sarcastic, ain't it?

So there's a diamond heist comedy Bollywood movie coming out called "Fool and Final", which stars Sunny Deol as a boxer (?). Why is this man even acting anymore? I don't know. He can't act, he doesn't have any facial expressions (besides that look trying to be angry which looks more like he's trying to crap) and he sure as hell can't dance.

So the only way to glamorize this is to bring in a real boxer...you know, like how once Bappi Lahiri had Samantha Fox in an early 90s bollywood song, and how The Undertaker from WWE (then WWF) was brought in to wrestle Akshay Kumar in some movie. So N. Chattani, the movie's producer decided to bring in Mike Tyson for a cameo in the movie, making the sick hollywood and bollywood mix into one big glorious jack-off complete.

So today's weather forecast calls for this:

(nbc5i)- Hail up to baseball size, winds in excess of 80 mph and tornadoes are possible in North Texas Friday afternoon and evening.

Light rain moved into the Metroplex Friday morning, but storms were starting to fire up in Central Texas by Friday afternoon.

The storms could turn into supercell storms with damaging winds and hail. Many tornado warnings are possible later Friday.

NBC Show Heroes star Hayden Panettiere gets confused with Lindsey Lohan. She didn't like that much did she?

This gave me a chuckle. I could actually visualize a desi uncle saying this:

Think of the Years I Wasted Being Kind to Food

White guy: Are you enjoying your apostasy burger?
Indian guy: Yeah.
White guy: So, what -- sins only count if you commit them in India?
Indian guy: That's why I love America.

I want all my readers to think of a word...one word that (can be politically correct) defines those who will just avoid picking up the phone to call you to let you know something's not working, but instead will email you and copy the world on it for the same reason. I am too pissed off to think of any. So hit me.
