I haven't posted in a while now, have I? Sorry about that. I have wanted to post pics and talk to you about my trip to Chicago. Yup! Second time since last year. When I was there for the first time with Tams and Paresh during Memorial weekend 2007, I had a blast. In case you missed the travel magazine style write-up, you can read my experience here.
Now, this time around I was hanging out with a bunch of friends, and it was great as well. It's really a city I can see myself live in, second to NY of course, but alas, until then I will be plugging away in Dallas.
I promise I'll put up pics of this trip real soon, and will talk about hanging out with Colin and Aakash as well. The pictures should tell the story.
Soon after the Chicago trip, I got back to Dallas on Monday, and on Tuesday, left on a business trip to Maryland & Virginia for the week. I planned to visit a few places if I had found the time, which I knew I wouldn't. In fact one of my clients canceled on me Friday last week, and I thought I could go to DC to check out the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, Spy Museum and the Smithsonian. Although, I didn't get to do any of that since work took over and I had to be at the hospitals. No biggie though. I'd rather go with somebody or with a group rather than go by myself. Although I did have dinner with one of the clients at a really nice restaurant called Lia's. The weather was clear and in the high 60s, so we ended up sitting at the patio ordering cheese plates, risotto balls (delicioso!), bordeaux wines, heavy meals, chocolate souffles & lemon drop martinis. Probably the best part of my trip here.
This weekend I am in Detroit just for a day - again, work related. Detroit airport really sucks. Washington-Dulles was even worse. Anyhoos, my flight has been delayed for a couple of hours, so I found time to write this post. I just thought I'd get you guys up to speed, well...partially at least.
Hopefully will post Chicago pics sometime this week.
